"PHOTOGRAPHY IS LIKE A LANGUAGE TO ME, IT IS MY STRONGEST FORM OF COMMUNICATION."
I have photographed weddings for over a decade and my images have appeared in notable publications: BRIDES, Grace Ormonde, Munaluchi Bride, The B Collective, and Modern Luxury - just to name a few. I approach each wedding with humility and the curiosity to learn about the people, relationships and moments that matter to you. My goal is to translate your emotional journey into strong visuals that will be cherished for many generations.
Knight’s interest in photography began in grade school when a teacher gave him a disposable film camera as a way to communicate differently because of his childhood stutter. He quickly realized that by weaving the visual moments together and arranging the images chronologically as stories, he was able to speak clearly in front of his class during “show and tell”, and that’s when he fell in love with the transformative power of photography.
While photography remained his passion, Knight pursued a career in electrical engineering until a genealogy search for his multiracial roots and his thirst to travel prompted a change. In 2007, he left his career in the utility industry to follow his dream of becoming an international photographer. To date, he has traveled to six different continents to observe, participate in, and photograph cultural ceremonies and commercial work that fulfill his passion to understand and communicate the beauty of the human story unfolding.
With his camera, Ross connects with his subjects by exploring their authenticity, their cultures and the environments in which they live. As a result, his audience is given an insight into his heart and soul and his art becomes as much of a representation of himself as it is of his subjects.
Knight’s work has appeared in prominent media outlets across the globe including CNN, Oprah Winfrey, HGTV, the NBA, Forbes, and Essence. Ross is a trusted member of the Professional Photographers of America and has recently served on the board for the arts organizations WonderRoot and Atlanta Celebrates Photography. In His Moment, a book based on male emotions, he explores candid stories from grooms about marital commitment.
